200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh India

Our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program is a foundational Yoga Alliance-certified course that equips you to become a certified yoga instructor globally. By introducing and exploring various modalities of yoga, you can expand your horizons and find your niche in the broad, emerging field of yoga. Whether your interest is in the physical aspect of asanas and alignment, in the subtle elements of pranayama and meditation or in the theory of yoga philosophy and anatomy, through personal care and attention, you will master every subject with precision and depth. The 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course is both a beginner and intermediate-level program designed to advance your practice and upskill your teaching, irrespective of whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner.

Beginning your day at Brahmamuhurta - waking before sunrise and following an enriching sattvic lifestyle throughout the day, you will be on track to completely resetting your life in these 24 days in Rishikesh. The course includes two daily high-energy asana practices: Ashtanga Yoga and Vinyasa Flow. Ashtanga Primary Series is taught in detail, covering the basics of sun salutations, standing sequence, intense transitions and inversion sequence. You will thoroughly understand the entire sequence by the end of the course with the correct alignment and anatomy of each asana. In Vinyasa Flow classes, an introduction to Hatha Vinyasa is emphasised to build a solid foundation for further practice, after which theme-based vinyasa flows, such as backbends, arm balance, core strengthening, etc., are taught to build strength, flexibility and endurance. Master the art of physical yoga through the asana practice.
Breathwork and meditation practices are extensive, focusing on laying the foundations for a beginner and progressing to advanced practices. Pranayama, such as yogic breath, kapalbhati, bhastrika, ujjayi, etc, are taught to precision, in addition to shatkarma practices such as neti kriya and kunjal kriya. A consistent, disciplined practice of pranayama encouraged during this course purifies the body, mind, and soul. In the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program, you are first prepared for meditation through purificatory and mindfulness practices such as deep breathing, breath awareness, and chanting. Then, traditional meditation techniques such as tratak, yoga nidra, and chakra meditation are taught by eligible teachers with great care to help you evolve spiritually.

With an in-depth exploration of theoretical subjects such as philosophy, you are equipped to understand yoga at the deepest and subtlest levels, giving it your meaning and experience. In the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course, we study the Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, and the various branches of yoga philosophy.
In Yoga Anatomy and Physiology, you will explore the human body- its potential and limitations in physical activities and breathing practices, the uniqueness of different bodies, movements of joints, workings of muscles and the coordination of various systems in the body. You will be taught how to integrate this data into a practical approach that is both useful and simple. The knowledge of Yoga Anatomy is applied in Yoga Alignment, where every posture of the Ashtanga Primary series is dissected and nuanced by understanding correct bodily positions and movements, variations and modifications using props to make the practice accessible to all.

With complementary skills such as Ayurveda and exploration of various yoga forms such as Sound Healing, Yin Yoga, and Aerial Yoga, the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program will be a wonderful experience that will enrich your soul. With the learnings of ancient wisdom, outings to beautiful locations and community activities such as kirtans, you will live a life full of involvement, presence, and gratitude to be carried back home and spread in the yoga community worldwide.
