Tadasana (Mountain Pose)
Tadasana acts as the foundation for the body. In Sanskrit, ‘tada’ means ‘mountain’ and ‘asana’ means ‘posture’. That’s why it is also called ‘Mountain Pose’. This is an ideal pose for people with weak back muscles and round backs as it can help restore the body’s natural alignment.
Tadasana is a yoga posture which is very beneficial for our health. Although it is a basic yoga pose and you should not get out of it. Practicing it regularly can improve your health. If you master it, doing other asanas may not seem like a challenge for you.
Vrikshasana (Tree Pose)
Vrikshasana is called Tree Pose in English. It is a type of hatha yoga. It is made up of two words. The first word is “tree” and the second is “asana” i.e. standing like a tree and putting a seat on it. In this, the body has to be balanced and stand like a strong tree. There are many benefits of doing Vrikshasana yoga. Anyone who practices this asana in the right way gets benefitted from this.
Vrikshasana works to calm our minds. So, if you are in your starting period of learning yoga, then this is among the best yoga practices.
Adho Mukho Svanasana (Downward Facing Dog Pose)
Adho Mukho Svanasana is a Sanskrit word where Adho means forward, Mukha means face, Svan means dog and Asana means posture. This posture is called downward facing dog pose because while doing this asana, the same shape is made as the dog makes while bending forward and stretching its body.
It is an important part of Surya Namaskar that benefits you in giving strength to the body. Moreover, it makes muscles flexible. Adho Mukha Svanasana helps in relieving stiffness in the shoulders and elongates the spine and helps to keep the legs straight.
Trikonasana (Triangle Pose)
Trikonasana is made up of two words “trikon” and “asana”. In which “trikon” means three angles and “asana” means pose, thus Trikonasana means three angle pose. While practicing Trikonasana, the body is in a triangle-like posture, due to which this asana is named Trikonasana.
Practicing Trikonasana puts pressure on almost all the muscles of the body, due to which the muscles are strong and flexible. Trikonasana is considered most useful for reducing belly and waist fat. Along with this, the balance of the body also improves with the practice of Trikonasana.
Kursiasana (Chair Pose)
Kursiasana is a yoga which is made up of two words kursi + asana means chair posture. While doing this asana, the shape of the person’s body becomes like a chair. That’s why it is called the Kursiasana or chair pose in English. This is a beginner-level yoga pose that has immense benefits.
Naukasana (Boat Pose)
Naukasana is an important yogasana among the asanas performed lying on the back. This posture is called Naukasana because it is shaped like a boat. It is also called Navasan. Its benefits are amazing. This is a very effective yoga practice to reduce belly fat. It keeps the digestive system healthy as well as holds benefits from head to toe. Whatever its benefits are to be counted, it is less. Therefore it is necessary that every yoga practitioner should practice this yoga asana regularly.
